Combo Forward Has 5 Offers

Will Daniels, a sleek 6-foot-7, 205-pound combo forward from F.D.R. High School in Hyde Park, N.Y., is a player with nice upside and potential.
Daniels, who helped the Albany City Rocks reach the quarterfinals of the Five-Star Hoop Classic this past weekend, is a bit of a tweener position wise.

In high school and on the AAU level, Daniels is more of a four than a three, but he shows the signs of being capable enough to make the transition to the wing forward slot down the road.
Daniels has some athletic bounce and broad shoulders. He moves very well in all directions and is very effective scoring at the front of the fast break. While his outside shot comes and goes, he does have the ability to put the ball on the floor a bit. If he can build up his upper body and become stronger, Daniels will become a better finisher in traffic and have the chance to draw contact.
Daniels told RivalsHoops.com that he has been offered scholarships by Providence, Richmond, Dayton, Marist and Rhode Island. Others sniffing include St. John's and UConn.
A busy summer on the road will include pit stops at the Nike All-American Camp and Five-Star Honesdale II. Daniels will also travel with Jim Hart's Albany City Rocks program on the Nike hoop circuit.
Daniels said he has a 3.1 GPA and scored 860 on the SAT. This past season at FDR, he averaged 26 points, 15 rebounds and three assists per game.
