Boubacar Coly, a developing 6-8, 220 pound power forward from the Laurinburg Institute in North Carolina, had himself a productive session on Tuesday afternoon at the adidas ABCD Camp.
While Coly appeared to be a strict four man last summer, his effort on Tuesday at ABCD showed that he has developed some pretty good skills facing the basket.
In particular, Coly was able to step out and knock down some shots from the perimeter. He also put the ball on the floor and found his way to the basket on more than one occasion.
Coly said that he's heard from St. Bonaventure, Maryland, Wake Forest, Texas, Kentucky and Ole Miss over the past year.
This past season at Laurinburg, Coly averaged 15.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and six blocks per game. While he wasn't certain on his GPA, he said he took the SAT in the spring for the first time.
After ABCD, Coly will rest for a week and a half before heading out to Las Vegas and Hawaii for tournaments with the Atlanta Celtics program.
