Boubacar Coly, the 6-9, 230 pound big forward from Laurinburg Insitute in Laurinburg, NC, has a top two of Florida State and Mississippi, according to head coach Chris Chaney. "There are more schools interested in coming in," Chaney said. "Syracuse wants to come in and so does Kansas."
Coly previously mentioned Wake Forest, Maryland and Georgia. But Chaney did not mention them this time around.
This past season at Laurinburg, Coly averaged 15.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and six blocks per game. Chaney said he has a 3.0 GPA. He will retake the test in the fall.
The native of Africa will be returning for his second year with Chaney's program at Laurinburg. He is a strong force in the paint and can also hit perimeter jumpers.
