Colorado player of the year exploring options

The player of the year in the state of Colorado Andrew Brown finished off an amazing year by leading Heritage High School from Littleton, Colo., to a 5A state championship and a 27-1 record. Coming off such a strong senior season, the 5-foot-11 point guard has a couple offers and interest from other schools is growing.
"I have offers from Lafayette and Southern Utah," said Brown. "I'm getting serious interest from Ole Miss, Birmingham Southern, Colorado State and Colgate. Gonzaga, Wyoming and BYU have asked me to walk on becuase they out of scholarships. Right now I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I may prep a year or go to junior college and see if my recriutment picks up."

A gutsy gamer, Brown thrives on making the big shot and had some splendid moments playing for the Colorado Select this summer. He has a quick trigger with deep range off the dribble, while also knowing how to run a team. His one liability is his size which shows up primarily on the defensive end.
Already having visited Lafayette and Southern Utah, Brown is seeking to play at a high level for a winning program.
"I want to go to a place to play at the highest level I can," he said. "I want to go to a winning program and be able to compete in the NCAA tournament every year."
Brown's Heritage squad defeated ThunderRidge, led by top 2006 prospect Matt Bouldin, for the third time this season in the state championship game. Brown finished with 21 points and Bouldin scored 11.
