Collins ready for first visit

Sherron Collins is just three days away from taking his first official visit of the year. Collins, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound point guard from Crane High School in Chicago, Ill., is set to arrive on the Kansas campus on Friday.
"Yes, Sherron is taking an official visit to Kansas this weekend," said Crane head coach Anthony Longstreet. "He is going down to Kansas to see what the hoopla is all about. The Kansas coaching staff, just like the other schools, has made all of their allotted number of trips to the school to see Sherron."

There is no doubt that Collins, the No. 31 ranked player in the class, has established himself as one of the most heavily recruited players in the class. After receiving interest from quite a few high-major programs, Collins has scheduled three official visits for the month of October.
"After Sherron takes his visit to Kansas, he will then take a trip to Illinois on October 22 and Iowa on October 28," said Longstreet. "Each of the three schools recruiting him are doing all they are allowed to do in their recruitment of Sherron."
As it stands right now, Collins intends to take all three official visits before making a decision about his future. However, there is always a chance that the 5-foot-11 floor general might decide before that.
