Collins decides

It did not take long for Sherron Collins to make a decision about his future. After taking an official visit to the University of Kansas this past weekend, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound point guard from Crane High School in Chicago, Ill., gave a verbal commitment to Bill Self and the Jayhawks.
"That is correct, Sherron has committed to Kansas," said Crane High School head coach Anthony Longstreet. "He wanted to do it during his visit, but I told him to sleep on it to make sure that he was absolutely sure of his decision.

"I talked to Sherron again on Sunday and he told me that he was ready to commit to Kansas," he added. "He had a great time during his visit to Kansas. Sherron decided to commit to Kansas on Sunday."
Collins, the No. 31 ranked player in the class of 2006, had originally planned to take additional visits to Illinois and Iowa. However, those visits are no longer going to take place. The four-star prospect is firmly committed to playing for Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks.
