Cohen finds perfect fit

Berwyn (Pa.) Conestoga center Jake Cohen narrowed his choices down to a pair of academic powerhouses. On Tuesday night, the 6-foot-10 decided to end his recruitment.
Cohen committed to Davidson and picked the Wildcats over Stanford, according to his Team Philly AAU coach Lonnie Lowry.

"His visits were it," Lowry said. "He visited Stanford and liked it a lot and he went to Davidson and was with Stephen Curry and came back and was in love with it there."
Lowry said Cohen's AAU teammate Maalik Wayns played for Bob McKillop over the summer with the U.S.A under 18 team. Lowry said Wayns played recruiter and help sell Cohen on McKillop.
"I think that system really fits him. With the way Bob McKillop works his team, I tell you what, Jake has a chance to be really good for them," Lowry said.
Finding a place with great academics and great basketball was the perfect marriage for Cohen, Lowry said.
"The kid is a rocket scientist. School won't be a problem for him. He can play ball and get a great education," Lowry said.
