Coastal Carolina picks up a pair

Cliff Ellis hasn't coached his first game for Coastal Carolina, but he has landed his first 2008 recruits in Havana (Fla.) East Gadsden teammates Reshard McGill and Samuel McLaurin.
McGill, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound shooting guard, and McLaurin, a 6-foot-7, 215-pound power forward, are a steal for Coastal Carolina according to East Gadsden High School head coach Dimitric Salters.

"I call them best kept secret in America," said Salters. "Reshard is long and athletic and plays the one through the three for us. At the next level he is a prototypical division one shooting guard. He can score at the bucket and shoot it from outside.
"Samuel has a long wing span and is a combo forward. He handles the ball well and blocks a ton of shots."
Playing for a final four 4A East Gadsden team last year, McGill averaged 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game. McLaurin averaged 14 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks per game.
