Coaches watching Hood

Four-star 2009 prospect Jon Hood is off to a strong start for his undefeated Madisonville (Ky.) North Hopkins team, and coaches are watching.
Assistants from Georgia and Tennessee have watched Hood, a 6-foot-6, 185-pound shooting guard so far this season. On Tuesday, Duke assistant Steve Wojciechowski is expected to watch Hood play.

Hood also recently took in the Kentucky, North Carolina game and said the Kentucky staff told him they would check him out in the near future.
Off to a fast start averaging 23.5 points per game, Hood is still not completely satisfied with his play.
"I'm playing pretty well, but there is still a lot of room for improvement," said Hood. "My shot isn't as consistent right now as it was in the pre-season. It is one of those deals where I'll have four three-pointers one game and then not have one another game."
With offers and strong interest from a number of high major schools, Hood is still a ways a way from trimming down his list.
Hood is the No. 39 ranked prospect in the class of 2009.
Jon Hood scouting report:
Versatility is Hood's greatest attribute. Lanky and athletic, he has the all around skill base to effectively play every perimeter position. Very good off the bounce and with the length to cause trouble on the defensivel end, Hood mainly needs to gain strength to improve his game.
