Coaches busy tracking Hood

It has been a busy fall on the recruiting front for 2011 four-star prospect Rodney Hood of Meridan (Miss.) High School.
According to Hood's father Ricky Hood at least 12 head coaches have observed Hood this school year and offered scholarships.

The list includes Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama, North Carolina State, Arkansas, Marquette, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest.
Hood, a 6-foot-7, 180-pound small forward, has also made his way to some college campuses, visiting Mississippi State, Alabama, Florida State and most recently Georgia Tech this fall.
"Rodney really enjoyed the Georgia Tech visit," said Ricky Hood. "He was able to see the detail that Coach Hewitt coaches with. He enjoyed the coaching aspect of it."
In no rush to make a decision, Hood will likely visit a number of other schools before making a decision. Arkansas, North Carolina State and Wake Forest are some schools that are high on the visit wish list.
The Hood's are gaining a plenty of knowledge from their visits.
"The major thing Rodney is taking from these visits is how hard you have to work to play at this level, which he already knew," said Mr. Hood. "He knows he has to continue to get stronger and work on his game."
Hood is the No. 91 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
