Clyde Wade: As Good As Linehan

Clyde Wade, a 6-0 combo guard from The Winchendon School in Massachusetts, had a great season, especially the last three months of the season.
Wade, an athletic point who can shoot the jumper, is being looked at by Texas A&M, Rhode Island, Hofstra, and Duquesne. "He is a lot like John Linehan," Winchendon head coach Mike Byrnes told us. "He does the same type of things. He is athletic. He gets in your face. He is a great defender. He can run the team. He did everything I asked him to do."

Byrnes added: "If John Linehan can do what he did on the college level I believe Clyde Wade can do the same thing."
Linehan has had a great career at Providence College. Not many on the college level thought that Linehan would amount to the player he is today. But Byrnes thought so back when he had John.
"He's a guy that has good hands and is works so hard on the defensive side," Byrnes said. "I think Clyde is the same way. I am amazed that he hasn't had more looks."
Most coaches dismiss the idea of recruiting Clyde because of his size. But size doesn't matter when you are as athletic as Wade is. Wade can go above the rim when given the chance.
Wade happens to be a very good student. He possesses a 3.8 GPA but wants to raise his ACT score above a 20 to see if he could garner some interest from the academic heavyweights.
