Clinch Schedules First Official Visit

Lewis Clinch, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound shooting guard from Crisp Co. High School in Cordele, Ga., is ready to take a step forward in his recruitment. The No. 36 ranked player in the class of 2005 is in the process of trimming his list of schools down to five. Clinch also indicated that he has scheduled one official visit for late August.
“My mother and I are going to look at my list of schools tonight and tomorrow,” Clinch said. “I plan to have my list of schools trimmed to five by the end of Wednesday. Kansas, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Georgia and Florida are the schools that I keep going back and forth between. I haven’t made any decisions yet, but I will know by tomorrow.”

After being unranked throughout the entire spring and summer AAU circuit, Clinch made his debut last night as the No. 36 ranked player in the class of 2005. Clinch made it perfectly clear that he plans to take all five official visits in the fall.
“I have already scheduled one official visit to Georgia Tech,” he added. “I believe the visit will take place during the last weekend of August. I will take all five official visits before making a decision in the fall.
“Kansas is another school that I definitely plan to visit in the fall,” he added. “When a school like Kansas offers you a scholarship, it’s something you definitely have to consider. I will plan the rest of my visits after my final list of five schools is complete. The list will be completed on Wednesday.”
