Cliff Brown Has List Of Seven Schools

Cliff Brown, hardworking 6-6, 225 pound forward from Ferndale H.S. in Ferndale, Mich., said he is considering a list of seven colleges this fall.
Brown said he has been offered scholarships so far by Kent State and Central Michigan, and he has already unofficially visited both Mid American Conference schools.

Brown has in-home visits set up with Kent State, Central Michigan, New Mexico State and Boston College. The other three schools on his list are Minnesota, UConn and Virginia.
Brown enjoyed a productive summer that began at the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey, where he flourished in the up tempo style of play emphasized at that event. He followed that up by playing well at the adidas Three Stripes Classic in New York with the Inland/Team Detroit entry.
Brown wrapped up a busy summer at the adidas ABCD Camp with Rodney Heard's Team Detroit program.
An effective finisher in transition, Brown has a nose for the basketball and the ability to knock down short-mid range jumpers. He'll need to work on his ball handling and three point shooting in order to make the transition to the three slot at the college level.
As a junior at Ferndale, Brown averaged 24.9 points, 13.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and two steals per game. Brown said he was recently nominated for Mr. Basketball in the state of Michigan. That award will not be given until after the conclusion of the 2001-2002 high school basketball season.
