Clemente Staying Home

Just as soon as his visit were set, so did Denis Clemente, the No. 90 ranked player in the Rivals150, commit during his first visit. The 5-foot-11, 150-pound scoring point guard from Calusa Prep in Miami, Fla., will stay right at home as a Hurricane.
“Denny committed to Miami last night,” said Coach Art Alvarez of the Miami Tropics. “He’s had such a good time on his visit this weekend. He decided to go ahead and commit. We have advised all the other coaches that he has committed and have cancelled all the other visits.”

Clemente, who led the state of Florida in scoring with 34 points per game along with 7 assists per game, is just the guard to ignite an offense into an up tempo gear. Extremely fast with the ball, Clemente is a dynamic scoring point guard. He can get into the lane and shoot the three ball.
Coach Alvarez is excited about the opportunity for Clemente to play with former Tropic Guillermo Diaz.
“I’m really excited for Denny to be able to play just ten minutes from home with Gullermo Diaz, who he considers a big brother.”
