Class of 2020 Boston receiving major offers already

It takes an impressive prospect to start receiving offers at the end of his freshman year, but that’s exactly what happened with Brandon Boston, a small forward out of Norcross (Ga.). The Class of 2020 prospect had an impressive summer with the Georgia Stars 15-under team and has picked up right where he left off so far during his sophomore season.

Among the schools putting scholarship offers out to Boston so far are Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, South Florida and Virginia Tech. Many others such as Clemson, NC State and Ohio State are showing heavy interest. Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, NC State and Ohio State have all had the four-star prospect on campus already.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

The No. 19 overall prospect in the 2020 class recapped some recent visit and shared his thoughts on those programs.

Ohio State: “It was fun. At first, we took us around the school and showed us the locker room and all that. Then we shot around a little bit and then we watched practice and went to the football game. The new coaching staff there is cool.”

Florida State: “That was a cool visit too. I watched the team practice and they showed me around. They just made me feel at home for real.”

NC State: “They were really cool too. Coach (Kevin) Keatts just told me to keep working hard and he looks forward to offering me.”

Florida: “They have a good coaching staff and a good team. That’s a good program. I watched them play against Duke and I like how they move around on offense and get everyone involved.”

RIVALS REACTION

Boston is only a few months into his sophomore year, so a decision is a long ways off for him at this point. However, he’s been very active taking visits and getting a head start on doing his homework on each of the schools recruiting him.

Florida State has always been tough to beat in Georgia since adding Charlton Young to its staff. Georgia will have two of Boston’s former teammates on its roster by the time Boston gets to college with Rayshaun Hammonds and Jojo Toppin. Florida’s style of play seems to have his attention as well. Again, there is a long ways to go in his recruitment, and a lot of time for things to change.
