Class of 2011 wing headed to ACC

He has yet to play in a high school game and Marc Brown already knows where he wants to go to college. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard from Westlake High School in Atlanta, Ga., committed to an ACC school over the weekend.
Brown visited Florida State over the weekend with his father, Anthony, and gave a commitment to Leonard Hamilton and the Seminoles hoop staff.

"A lot of people are surprised because they said coach Hamilton doesn't take commitments from players that young but they said he must be pretty good if he did," Mr. Brown said of his son's decision. "We went down there and had a good time and saw what kind of program that they have. It was a good deal overall."
Brown, a class of 2011 prospect, participated at a Five-Star camp on FSU's campus last summer and, according to Mr. Brown, performed well against the rest of the field.
Brown recently moved to Atlanta from the Dallas area and joins a loaded Westlake team. Brown and his new teammates will be in Florida in December for the Amare Stoudamire Invitational Classic in Lakeland.
