FT. MYERS, Fla. -- Five-star forward Trendon Watford has been fantastic at the City of Palms going for a combined 46 points and 21 rebounds. He's found focus in his game and discussed some upcoming and past visits.

The 6-foot-8 junior at Mountain Brook (Ala.) High ranks No. 17 nationally and holds offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi State, TCU, Tennessee and many others.

He's a natural scorer who has set out to beef up his passing, defense and play in the post this season.

"After the AAU season I had to pick it up motor wise and defense wise, I have a coach who stays on me and I thank him for that," Watford told Rivals.com. "Playing hard 32 minutes is the focus. As far as me scoring, I can still do that but I'm trying to mix it up more down low."

During the fall, Watford saw the campuses of Alabama and Indiana. This winter he'll see Bama again and is planning to see Florida State as well, he discussed the three programs.

Alabama: "Avery Johnson has been on me ever since he got there. They got two top recruits John Petty and Collin Sexton last year so you have to see that. I'm keeping my eyes open to see how they do. I'm not looking to cut down my list or anything but I'm watching."

Florida State: "They are a great basketball school and they produce a lot of versatile athletes like me. Jonathan Isaac, Dwayne Bacon, Terrance Mann, you know multiple versatile athletes who can play both inside out."

Indiana: "They are on me pretty hard. Obviously my brother played there and it's a great school with great tradition and a great basketball school. I think Archie Miller is doing a good job with me right now so I'm going to continue to keep my eyes open and see what they are doing."

Other than the planned visits to Florida State (when they host Duke) and Alabama (when they host Texas A&M), Watford says that he's focused on his junior season. He'll look to cut things down sometime before grassroots ball starts in the spring.

"I will probably do it this summer closer to AAU time. It's gonna be the school that most fits me and can best help me get to the next level."
