Cincys Anderson Headed To Prep School

C.J. Anderson, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound senior combo guard from Winton Woods H.S. in Cincinnati, Ohio, is planning to attend Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va., next fall.
Anderson, who played for Cincinnati Select last weekend at the Charlie Weber DC Capitol Invitational, told RivalsHoops.com that he has been offered scholarships by Georgetown, Cincinnati and Illinois. He also mentioned Duquesne as a school that he has interest in this spring.

Anderson said that he's not sure whether the new staff at Illinois will continue to recruit him. The Illini named Southern Illinois Head Coach Bruce Weber as their new head coach yesterday, replacing the departed Bill Self (now in charge at Kansas).
Georgetown is a school that has followed Anderson for quite some time, and Anderson had a chance to play at the Big East school last weekend at the Weber Invitational.
This past season at Winton Woods, Anderson averaged 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists per game.
A guard with excellent size, Anderson helped Cincinnati Select reach the playoffs at the Weber. He is adroit at breaking defenses down off the dribble and finding open players off dribble penetration.
RivalsHoops.com plans on watching Anderson play quite a bit this spring and summer, so we will keep you posted on his recruitment and play in the coming months.
