Cincinnati ready for the love Shaq

Mick Cronin loves to go after long, wiry and athletic wings. Friday afternoon, he got himself one when Rivals150 wing Shaquille Thomas gave the Bearcats the nod.
Currently ranked the #132 player in the country, Thomas is a 6-foot-6 wing from Newark (N.J.) Nia Prep. He specializes in attacking off the baseline, slashing to the rim in transition and is a pretty good mid-range jump shooter. However, he is quite skinny and will definitely need to add strength before arriving to play in the Big East.
Thomas chose the Bearcats over Seton Hall and UTEP in a decision that was televised live on SNY.tv. Sources close to the situation say that assistant Darren Savino (who had recruited Thomas at Rutgers) played a big role in landing Thomas.
