Wilks' guardian and high school coach Carl Reed confirmed with Rivals.com that Wilks has been officially accepted into school.
"We are on our way to Cincinnati right now," said Coach Reed. "Darnell will go to summer school and get in the weight room and play in the Pro-Am league."
Wilks joins six other prospects in Cincinnati's 2007 recruiting class, which includes two other four-star prospects Jason Henry and Anthony McClain.
A 6-foot-8, 205-pound forward, Wilks was an integral member of the Southeast Elite during this travel season.
Darnell Wilks scouting report:
A long and explosive athlete, Wilks is loaded with upside. He has a diverse skill package, but his game is in need of refinement. Getting stronger and improving on the defensive end is also vital in Wilks development, but there is no denying the raw talent he possesses.
