Chucky Davis Has Top Four

Chucky Davis, a long armed 6-8, 210 pound power forward from Southside H.S. in Selma, Ala., has four schools battling it out in the race to secure his services this fall.
Davis had planned to take some official visits this month, but a number of factors (including the terrorist attack on the United States) have forced him to postpone his trips.

Davis will take his first official visit to Louisiana State from Oct. 5-7, and then trip to Alabama from Oct. 12-14. He also hopes to visit Auburn and Alabama Birmingham sometime this fall before reaching a decision.
In our previous interview with Davis, he had mentioned that Alabama led in the recruiting process. But he had also mentioned Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt as serious factors.
However, he said Georgia Tech is out after it got a commitment from Chris Bosh, and that Vandy might be too far away from home.
"Alabama is leading by a slim margin," Davis said. "They have been recruiting me for the longest, and that's probably why they are leading right now. Everyone is pretty close, and I am not going to guarantee that I am going to Alabama because it's not the case. Everybody is neck and neck. My mom wants me to stay close to home, so I am more than likely going to one of those four schools."
