Chucky Davis Has Early Top Five List

TEANECK, NEW JERSEY -- Chucky Davis, a long-armed 6-8, 210 pound power forward from Southside H.S. in Selma, Ala., has an early top five list this summer.

Davis, speaking from the ABCD Camp, told the Insiders Report that he is heavily considering Boston College, Alabama-Birmingham, Alabama, Auburn and Louisiana State. Vanderbilt is the only other school on Davis' list.

Although he never appears to be running at full speed and is not an explosive athlete, Davis is an extremely effective inside player. He's got a solid frame, excellent hands and a willingness to mix it up inside the paint. It also helps that he has excellent touch around the basket. Entering Tuesday's play at ABCD, Davis has been one of the camp's top rebounders.

As a junior at Southside, Davis averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks per game.

He said he has a 3.7 GPA and scored a 21 on the ACT.

This summer, Davis plans to travel with Kenny Harris' Alabama Ice squad, and expects to attend the AAU Super Showcase and AAU Super Showcase with the Ice later this month in Florida.
