Chris Paul Sits Down With UNC

Chris Paul, a 6-1, 165-pound point guard from West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, worked out tonight for the North Carolina Tar Heels. Sources close to Paul tell us he is expected to sit down tonight with head coach Matt Doherty and discuss the Heels' interest in his skills.
Sources do tell us that no offer has been extended as of posting this story. However, one could be given tonight depending upon how the workout and meeting goes. Our source told us if there is a good connection in what Doherty says to Paul and what Chris says to the Tar Heel coach then an offer would likely be extended.

RivalsHoops.com reported last week that Paul was likely to see the Tar Heels of North Carolina increase their interest in his skills. With the loss of Adam Boone and the possible early departure of Raymond Felton (obviously Felton would have to ring up some great games at UNC for this to happen), the Heels are going to need some help at the lead guard slot.
Paul will play this summer with the Kappa Magic, a team that won four of six games and finished in second place in the silver bracket at the Boo Williams tournament this past weekend. Paul averaged 26 points and 8.7 assists as a junior this past year for his high school team.
Paul told us last week he also had interest in Wake Forest, NC State, Connecticut, Tennessee, Stanford, Clemson, and UNCC.
Paul is also an excellent student. He has over a 3.5 GPA and has scored almost a 1000 on his SAT. "I would like to study computer science in college," Paul said. "My parents wouldn't let me play if I didn't get good grades."
