Chris Hunter Has New List of Schools

Chris Hunter, a mobile 6-11, 200 pound center prospect from Westside H.S. in Gary, Ind., has a host of high major programs seriously recruiting him this spring.

Hunter told the Insiders Report that he is still fairly open, but listed Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State, Purdue, Georgia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia, UCLA, Southern California and Stanford as the schools that he is looking at now.

Hunter had an up and down weekend at the recent St. Louis Eagles Invitational. Though he does not always play inspired, Hunter has pretty good skills for a big man, including the ability to put the ball on the floor and draw contact. On top of that, he's ultra mobile and is very quick from North to South.

On the downside, he will need to get significantly stronger and improve his free throw shooting at the next level.

As a junior, Hunter averaged 17 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and three blocks as a junior at Westside. He said he has a 2.0 GPA and will sit for the SAT on June 2 for the first time.

Hunter will attend the adidas ABCD Camp this summer and then tour the summer circuit with Bloomington Red.
