Chris Bosh Wont Add Any More to List of Four
LOS ANGELES -- Chris Bosh, the ultra-gifted 6-10 forward from Lincoln H.S. in Dallas, Tex. and the Texas Blue Chip program, ended the summer on a down note when he turned his ankle last night in a game against the Long Island Panthers here at the Best of the Summer Tournament.

But that was about the only bad thing to happen to Bosh the entire summer, as the talented southpaw big man has firmly entrenched himself as one of the nation's elite basketball prospects.
"He just stepped on somebody's foot and rolled his ankle," Texas Blue Chip Head Coach Mitch Malone said. "The trainer said that it was probably a sixth degree sprain on a scale of ten. Nothing is broken or fractured, just a little swelling. He tried to see if he could come back into our game at halftime, but he could not put any pressure on it."
Without the services of Bosh, Blue Chip was eliminated last night from the Best of the Summer Tournament by the Panthers. The entire squad will be headed back to Texas soon and that means that Bosh will be making some decisions about his collegiate intentions.
"Bosh is still down to four schools -- Florida, Michigan, Georgia Tech and Miami," Malone stated. "There won't be any schools added, no North Carolina, that won't happen."
North Carolina Head Coach Matt Doherty and Asst. Coach Doug Wojcik were spotted at the tournament at Bosh's Tuesday morning game.
"Chris does not care about any of the recruiting right now," Malone said. "All he wants to do is play and have fun. The bad part about Chris' situation is that he really does not even want to talk to coaches. I told him the other day that it is time now -- you have to start talking to these guys so that you can figure out where you fit in and who you really can get along with and develop a rapport with."
The situation has been a bit overwhelming for the entire Bosh family.
"His mom and dad are the same way [as Chris]," Malone elaborated. "They field phone call after phone call, but a lot of times they don't answer the phone. People leave messages but they are not going to reutrn their calls, that's not going to happen. And if you do call them, they are going to tell you that if you are not one of the coaches from those four schools, then there is no interest. They have really handled it well but now it's time to make some more decisions."
Bosh has already visited Florida unofficially for a team basketball camp, and will eventually take official visits to the other three schools on his list.
"We have some dates set up for the other three visits, but I do not recall them right now off the top of my head," Malone said. "We are going to get that done over the course of the next month and kind of go from there."
What are some of the factors that will be critical to Bosh's ultimate choice?
"He wants to see where he fits in at the different schools," Malone said. "One thing that he is looking for is a point guard who will get him touches, and a place where he can pop outside and use all of his skills."
Whatever happens, IR will keep you posted.
