Chicago sophomore picks DePaul
When DePaul finishes up with their recruiting in the class of 2013, nobody in their class will be more familiar with the Blue Demons than their latest pickup, Billy Garrett, Jr.
Garrett, a 6-foot-3 guard at Chicago (Ill.) Morgan Park, is the son of Blue Demons assistant coach Billy Garrett.

A versatile guard who can run the point some, Garrett projects more as a scoring guard down the road. He shoots some from deep, can get to the rim and plays with the basketball smarts that one would expect from a coach's son.
Garrett, who is DePaul's first commitment from the class of 2013, will run with the Mac Irvin Fire this spring and summer.
