Blair Academy head coach Joe Mantegna told us today that his star 6-9 junior forward, Charlie Villanueva, is still recovering from an injury.
Villaneuva hurt his ankle during Blair Academy's 67-59 victory over St. Benedict's.

Villanueva rolled his ankle early in the third quarter of the game after landing awkwardly on the hardwood.
According to Blair Head Coach Joe Mantegna, Villanueva (pictured right) had x-rays on Sunday. "There is no break," Mantegna said. "He is day to day right now."
Villanueva did not play in last night's three-point loss to the Hun School. "We missed him," Mantegna said. "But we actually didn't play that bad. Hun School shot the lights out. They hit 12 three-pointers against us."
After going down with the injury, Blair's team trainer packed the ankle in ice and it swelled up quite a bit. Villanueva was wincing noticeably in pain on the sidelines throughout the second half last Saturday night.
Mantegna said that Villanueva had injured the same ankle this summer while playing for the Long Island Panthers program.
