Charleston Southern strikes again

For the third time in less than three weeks, Charleston Southern landed a verbal committment. This time the pledge comes from Georgia point guard JaMarco Warren.
The 5-foot-11 floor general from Gainesville High School joins fellow first stater Tovi Bailey and North Carolina forward Omar Carter, who both committed to the Big South school after their official visits.

Warren said after he visited Charleston Southern, he was ready to suit up with the other commits. Carter was also on his official visit at the same time of Warren. Bailey's Villa Rica team ousted Warren's Gainesville club in the state playoffs. Warren said he likes the bonds already forming with his future teammates.
"After Tovi committed, he was hitting me up and telling me that I should come there with him," Warren, a 27 point per game scorer as a senior, said. "I can see us (the incoming freshmen class) making a big impact on the team next year and being really important to the school. They are an up and coming school."
Playing early was a major factor, the Peach State native said.
"I wanted to play as a freshman," Warren said. "They said there is an opportunity for me to do that there."
Warren also has interest from Florida State and Central Florida.
