Change over: Seattle guard makes switch

Seattle point guard Venoy Overton had a change of heart. The 6-foot senior has changed his college destination from USC to Washington.
Overton verbally committed to Southern Cal in September but rethought his options this season and ultimately made an expected switch to the nearby Huskies on Monday.

"I just did a lot of thinking over the last few weeks that this would be the best thing for me and my family," Overton told the Seattle Times.
"They said they really needed a point guard. I feel it's a better fit for me at UW."
Overton is averaging 21. 7 points and 5.7 assists for Franklin in his senior season. He has his team ready for a state playoff run. Franklin won a state championship last season.
Overton joins Matthew Bryan-Amaning, Justin Holliday and Darnell Gant, all Rivals150 seniors, in the class of 2007 recruiting haul for the Huskies.
