Change of heart for Smith

Fresno (Cali.) Edison High School prospect Greg Smith has had a change of heart. Once destined for Arizona, the 6-foot-9, 240-pound center has now decided to play college ball in his hometown.
It now looks like Fresno State was able to hold off the big boys to land Smith, it hometown four-star prospect.

"My mom and me decided it would be best for me to stay close to home," said Smith. "I want to play for my hometown team and play in front of my family and my friends. It really doesn't have anything to do with Arizona."
Before originally committing to Arizona, Smith had offers from the likes of Florida, Kansas, Memphis and Oregon amongst others.
Smith is presently the No. 35 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Greg Smith scouting report:
Strong and athletic, Smith does his best work on the baseline. He scores well off spin moves and is a dangerous rebounder. Not necessarily a fluid athlete, Smith does, however, have a developing skill game facing the basket. But at this point it is fair to say that his defense is ahead of his offense.
