Cavs add third 2016 pledge

There is zero time being wasted by Tony Bennett and Virginia when it comes to the class of 2016. On New Year's Day, they added their third Rivals150 player from the class of 2016 when Sacha Killeya-Jones made a commitment.

A 6-foot-9 power forward at Lynchburg (Va.) Virginia Episcopal, Killeya-Jones currently ranks No. 114 in the class of 2016 and had seen his recruitment heat up a bit during the winter.
Very good from a run and jump athleticism standpoint, Killeya-Jones is a thin interior player with long arms who plays with great energy around the basket. He works the offensive glass, runs the floor in transition and has developed pretty good touch to around 10 feet.
Defensively, he plays pretty good positional defense and is a good straight up shot blocker. Most important moving forward is going to be adding weight to his lean frame so that he can battle more effectively on the interior at the ACC level.
As mentioned, Killeya-Jones is the third Rivals150 player to join the Cavaliers from the class of 2016. The first to make the call was No. 119 Ty Jerome a sharp shooting combo guard from New York. A month after Jerome committed, No. 60 Kyle Guy a long range bomber from Indiana made the call.
With those three in the fold, Virginia still has one more spot left to fill in the class of 2016 and they would like to add another interior player. In particular, they have their eyes set on current four-star (No. 83 overall) Mamadi Diakite an in-state prospect who the Cavs coaching staff has been spending quite a bit of time trying to get into the fold.
