Cats get Drummond

Casiem Drummond ended his recruitment at the Reebok ABCD Camp on Thursday with a 2pm press conference to announce his decision. The Villanova Wildcats have another reason to smile as the 6-foot-9 275 pound big man gave them their fourth commitment from the Class of 2006. Rivals.com was present for the announcement.
"I'm announcing my commitment to Villanova University," Drummond said in the opening statement of his press conference. "I chose Villanova because it's close to home and the coaching staff is nice."

Drummond had narrowed it down to Villanova and Wake Forest, but speculation over the past week was that it was a done deal for the Wildcats.
"Jay Wright is a very nice guy," Drummond said of his future coach. "He reminds me a lot of my high school coach."
Drummond has had a solid camp to date, showing his strength and mobility around the basket. He's run the floor well and used his wide body to bang in the paint. He shoots the ball with a soft touch out to 15', though consistency is lacking in terms of effort.
"I'm not focused on starting right away," he said. "I'm just looking for some playing time and the opportunity to contribute."
Drummond joins fellow Villanova recruits 6-foot-4 Reggie Redding, 6-foot-10 Andrew Ott, and 6-foot-8 Kraidon Woods.
