Dwight Brewington, a 6-5 combo guard who will play for Worcester Academy in Massachusetts this upcoming season, committed to Providence College. "It's a great pick," said Worcester Academy head coach Mo Cassara. "He will fit in well to the uptempo style. I have a ton of respect for coach Welsh and his staff. It's a great fit for both parties."

Brewington had taken official visits to both Temple and Providence. Cassara also told us that Brewington was also being recruited (at one time during his recruiting process) by Providence, South Carolina, North Carolina State, Arizona, Iowa State, and East Carolina. "He can be a point guard too, he's that good," Cassara told us. "He is much, much better than people think. He works so hard. He can get a shot anytime, and he is a 6'5" point. He can really go."
He averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists a game last year as a junior.
