It came down to three schools for
Robert Carter, and the highly ranked prospect is staying in-state but headed to the ACC.
A 6-foot-8 power forward from Snellville (Ga.) Shiloh High School, Carter will head to Atlanta to play for
Georgia Tech.
"I like everything about Georgia Tech," Carter told Rivals.com. "Ever since the new coaching staff got there, they have recruited me hard."
Carter also closely considered
Florida State and
Georgia.
"I put down all three schools on paper, and it was close," he said. "But I feel Georgia Tech is the best situation for me."
Ranked the No. 28 prospect in the Rivals150, Carter is a lethal low post scorer who can also make shots from the perimeter.
"I'll play power forward and do my best to score and make the team better," Carter added.
He joins Rivals150 prospects and talented wing scorers
Marcus Hunt and
Chris Bolden in the Georgia Tech recruiting class.
This class captures the No. 14 spot in the national team recruiting rankings.
