Carney told us he would consider taking a visit to Indiana in two weeks if Davis asked. "Right now I plan on visiting Memphis this weekend," Carney said. "Then I have to see where I stand with Indiana."
When asked would the instate strength of an Indiana offer overpower his interest in Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Memphis, Carney said: "I am going to consider all of these schools. I like each of them. I had a very good visit to Oklahoma and I look forward to visiting Memphis."
Previously, Carney praised his visit to Oklahoma as a trip that was informative and fun. "I got a chance to see the campus and meet the coaches and players," Carney said. "It was a great trip. I enjoyed myself and I learned a lot about Oklahoma."
Carney said he was especially impressed with the friendship among the players. "I was very impressed with how close the players are," Carney said. "There is a great chemistry among the players there."
Carney said he saw that chemistry throughout the trip. "I also had a chance to play some pickup ball," Carney said. "Those players are really good. The game is so much faster on the college level than high school."
Carney said he plans on working on his left hand this summer before heading to the college level. "I improved on my consistency this past season," Carney said. "That is the top goal that I met. I wanted to be more consistent. Now this summer I want to strengthen my left hand. It's okay. But I want it to be better."
Carney had a nice senior year. He averaged 21.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, and six blocks per game. He hit for 49 percent from the floor while knocking down 75 percent from the foul line.
