Cardinals score in 2014

It didn't take Quentin Snider long to pick his school. The 2014 point guard is staying in state to play in the Big East.
Just one day after picking up a scholarship offer from Rick Pitino on an unofficial visit to Louisville, Snider has decided to be a Cardinal.

"We considered committing right there, but I wanted to make sure we talked to his mother, his high school coach, Coach Renner, and his AAU coach, Ellis (Myles), were part of the decision," Snider's father Scott Snider told Howie Lindsey of CardinalSports.com. "... We talked it over and I asked him this afternoon if that was still what he wanted to do, and he said yes.
"He's always wanted to play for UofL. He's always been a Cardinal fan, and our whole family is full of Cardinal fans. When the offer came, we talked about it and decided we might as well go ahead and grab it while it is sitting there."
Snyder, who attends Louisville (Ky.) Ballard High School, had a standout summer at the point for the Louisville Magic 15-U team.
He is the initial 2014 commitment for Louisville.
