Camper Makes Decision

One of the top prospects in the Magnolia state, Vincent Camper from Oxford High School, committed late last night to Tulane. Camper had only told RivalsHoops.com's Tim Watts: “Tulane offered me a while back and I am hearing a lot from Fresno State, UCLA, Connecticut, Ole Miss, Florida State, and SMU,” he said. “Outside of Tulane, Fresno State is recruiting me the hardest and those two schools are my favorites.”
The Green Wave offered Camper, a 6-2, 190-pound point guard, this summer and have made a strong impression with their persistence.

“The whole Tulane staff has showed me a lot of attention. Sending me letters, calling when they can and showing up for my games,” Camper said. “I really like their style of play. The way they play up-tempo and push the ball. Also I think that I could play early for them which I wouldn’t mind.”
Camper, who is rated a 3-star prospect by RivalsHoops.com, originally hails from California and indicated that Fresno State was also a serious contender at one time during his recruiting process.
Camper, who spent the summer traveling with New Orleans Jazz AAU basketball squad, had previously thought about waiting until the spring. But last night he ended his recruiting process.
Camper, who last season averaged 17 points, nine assists, five rebounds per contest, carries a 3.2 GPA and 20 ACT score will be a full qualifier.
