Camper At 5

Vincent Camper, a 6-2, 190 pound point guard from Oxford H.S. in Oxford, Miss., has narrowed his focus to five colleges this fall.
Camper told Rivalshoops.com that he is thinking about signing late, but the five schools on his list are Tulane, Fresno State, Southern Methodist, East Carolina and hometown Ole Miss.

Of that lot, Tulane has offered, and Camper will visit the Conference USA school this upcoming weekend (Sept. 13-15). He is planning to have in-home visits with all five of the schools on his list, and is also mulling a late September or early October visit to Fresno State.
"I would say Fresno is the current leader now," Camper said. "I talked to the coach there and I liked what he had to say, plus I like the style of play that they've had there the past few years."
Camper said he is expecting some of the schools to offer scholarships during the in-home visit process or during the official visits.
"As of right now, I am planning on signing late," Camper explained. "Unless I get an offer from Fresno while I am down there, then I will probably go there and sign."
Camper was the floor general for Dannton Jackson's New Orleans Jazz squad this past summer. A stocky player noted for his alert passing off penetration, Camper helped lead the Jazz into the semifinals of the adidas Big Time Tournament, where the Jazz fell to the Florida Hoopsters.
