California wing done waiting

With April opening back up as an evaluation tool for schools to scout tournaments, the recruiting of available seniors has seen a dimension added.
Schools must decide whether to push for commitments now, or wait to see what they might find by encouraging available seniors to hit the grassroots tournament trail in April.

Marvelle Harris was thought to be leaning towards playing in April.
Thursday night, though, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard at Rialto (Calif.) Eisenhower decided to go ahead and commit to a good fit rather than play things out with his commitment to Rodney Terry's Fresno State program.
"I'm just letting you know that my son committed to Fresno State," said Harris' father Marvin. "He had numerous options."
One of the hottest back-court recruits on the West Coast, Harris had entertained high major overtures this winter.
However, the Bulldogs were ready to commit to him and Harris decided that it was best to end things.
An athletic off guard who has had a big senior season, Harris is a versatile get. He can score from the wing, is capable of running the show for stretches and has plenty of room to improve.
Rated as a three-star prospect, Harris joins a class that includes athletic big man Braeden Anderson, Oklahoma guard Aaron Anderson and California big man Tanner Giddings.
