During his career, Mike Montgomery has done a pretty good job of finding off the radar talent. That's what he and his staff at California hope they've done again in landing a commitment from Christian Behrens.

Highly touted early in his career, the 6-foot-8 senior power forward at Covington (Wash.) Tahoma suffered an ACL tear as a junior. As a result, he missed the summer circuit but was able to return to action as a senior.
Behrens visited Cal officially two weekends ago and was ready to make the decision.
"I just felt like it was the right time," Behrens told BearTerritory.net. "It just felt right."
A slim, but very mobile, big man, Behrens showed promise during the summer between his sophomore and junior seasons as a member of Seattle based Rotary Select. He hits mid-range jump shots, runs the floor very well and is a good athlete.
Behrens -- who also had offers from Portand State, Seattle and Eastern Washington -- joins a class that already includes three-star power forward David Kravish and junior college star De'End Parker.
