Cal looks to be the leader for Bay

There was a time when it looked like Kalvin Bay was interested in taking all five official visits before making a decision about his future, but that no longer appears to be the case. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound point guard from Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe, Ariz., might be ready to select the school of choice before the summer ends.
"Kalvin is receiving a lot of action right now when it comes to his recruitment," said Marcos de Niza Head Coach Dave Stark. "Gonzaga, Oregon State, California, Louisville and Texas Tech are just some of the schools interested in Kalvin. I also know that quite a few schools stopped by the school to visit with him. Kalvin's dad is very involved in his sons' recruitment and receives a lot of calls as well."

Bay was scheduled to take an official visit to California during the weekend of May 5, but that visit never took place. The Arizona native hopes to reschedule the visit in the near future, and intends to take a number of other visits before making a final decision about a school.
"I know that Kalvin has talked about committing before next season," said Stark. "There is a chance that he might make his decision before the end of this summer. I really don't see Kalvin talking all five official visits in the fall. He will probably be ready to decide before then.
"Kalvin has talked about the possibility of going to California after high school," he added. "The coaching staff has recruited some pretty good players, and it looks like they are going to bring in some other talented players as well. Kalvin has talked about playing with those other players, and how fun that would be."
Aside from the aforementioned schools, Bay is also receiving attention from the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas, Washington St., Furman, Wichita St., and Illinois St.
