Oklahoma State got its guy on Tuesday. Five-star guard Cade Cunningham ended his recruitment and committed to the Cowboys.
Rated as the top available guard in America, Cunningham chose the Cowboys over Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina and Washington. The second ranked prospect in America, Cunningham is a game changing pick-up for the Pokes that immediately raises their chances of success next year.
The younger brother of Cannen Cunningham who was recently hired on staff at Oklahoma State, the five-star will have the ball placed into his hands from day one. A 6-foot-7 playmaker that is best used on the ball, Cunningham raised his stock this summer on the Nike circuit and is now in the conversation for who the best prospect is in the 2020 class.
Just last week, Oklahoma State celebrated the commitment from Rondel Walker. The four-star guard is a former travel teammate of Cunningham’s where the two finished with the best record on the Nike EYBL.
Cunningham will becomes the first top-two prospect to ever enroll at OSU during the Rivals.com era. Walker will join him in Stillwater next fall as the Pokes remain in pursuit of four-star JT Thor.
