After spending the weekend in Lawrence for an official visit, it appears that C.J. Giles is ready to put an end to his recruitment. While nothing will become official until Wednesday, the 6-foot-10, 240-pound center from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Wash., is almost certain that he will be playing for Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks.

“Yes, it looks like my son is going to attend Kansas,” Chester Giles said. “Everything will be official on Wednesday, but it looks like he is headed to Kansas. I would be more than happy to speak to you on Wednesday about this, but it really does look like C.J. will be playing for Kansas.”
Giles took an official visit to Washington last weekend and it looked like an official visit to Cincinnati might take place. However, after spending the weekend in Lawrence, it looks like Giles is done with the recruiting process.
Rivals.com ranks Giles No. 62 on the Rivals150 list and the ninth best center in the class of 2004.
