BYU, Utah, Others Checking Pinegar

As much as big man Chris Miles was valuable in the Utah Heat's run to the sweet 16 at the Spiece Run N Slam Tournament, scoring point guard Matt Pinegar was also a key cog in the squad's attack.
A gritty player who mans the point slot for the Heat, Pinegar has a scorer's mentality. The 6-foot-0, 185-pounder from Timpview H.S. in Provo, Ut., has already drawn looks from a number of instate programs.

Pinegar told RivalsHoops.com that he has interest from Brigham Young, Utah, Southern Utah and Utah Valley State College. All four are D-I programs located in the Beehive State.
As a junior at Timpview, Pinegar averaged 13 points, four assists and three steals per game. Just how high he gets recruited this summer will largely be dictated by how well he plays at the major events along the circuit.
Pinegar will travel to a number of events this summer with the Heat, and RivalsHoops.com will be at hand for some of those and let you know how he fares. Stay tuned!
