Butlers Indecision Gives Banks Offer

Jamar Butler's indecision on whether he would accept the Cincinnati offer led to Vincent Banks (right) accepting a scholarship from the Bearcats program.
Butler, a 6-2 scoring point guard from Lima, Ohio, played in front of Cincinnati head coach Bob Huggins only last Thursday, July 31st in Los Angeles. Butler's team made it to the championship game.

Banks, who last year committed to Miami of Florida, did not qualify academically to play for the Hurricanes in 2003-2004. Instead, his commitment was void, and he will play this year at Laurinburg Prep in North Carolina.
Banks, 6-foot-3 and 185-pounds, took the offer last night when Butler told the Cincinnati staff he wasn't sure of going to play for the Bearcats in 2003-2004.
