Butler Visiting Tennessee

Jackie Butler has left Laurinburg Prep and may not be so committed to Mississippi State as well.
According to Chris Low of the Tennessean Newspaper, Massanutten Military Academy head coach Bruce Kreutzer said the 6-foot-10, 240-pound Butler is planning to enroll at the Woodstock, Virginia prep school after Thanksgiving.

Coach Kreutzer also said Butler will visit Tennessee this weekend and could sign with the Vols during this early signing period.
Butler, from McComb, Mississippi had committed to Mississippi State last year, but after failing to qualify academically, he enrolled at Laurinburg Institute. Butler recently left Lauringburg over an altercation of some sort.
If his credit hours transfer from Laurinburg to Massanutten, he should be eligible for NCAA competition at the beginning of next year. If there is a problem transferring the hours, he may not be eligible until the second semester next year.
Butler is presently living in Pulaski, Tennessee with Southeast Pump & Run teammate Tyler Smith, one of the top prospects in the class of 2005 and a top recruiting priority for the Vols.
