Butler To Take Visit

Tomorrow will be a big day for the Ohio State program. Jamar Butler, who recently changed his mind on his verbal commitment to Cincinnati, will take a visit to the Buckeyes' campus in Columbus, Ohio. A source close to Butler told RivalsHoops.com that Jamar would likely verbal to Jim O'Brien's program if the visit goes well.
Butler is also considering Clemson. The ACC school is a longshot right now to land Butler, according to our source close to Jamar. If Butler has a good visit with the staff at Ohio State, then the scoring lead guard will probably give his verbal commitment to the Buckeyes.

Butler, 6-foot-2, 175-pound lead guard from Lima, Ohio, gave Cincinnati the word earlier this week that he was not going to sign with the Bearcats this November. Cincinnati then took Vincent Banks, a guard who committed last year to Miami. Banks will play at Laurinburg Prep in North Carolina this season after failing to qualify academically.
Jamar is a guard who can score points. He has the ability to take the ball to the basket and finish in transition against bigger bodies. He also has enough quickness to break a defense down and open up lanes for teammates with passes off his dribble.
Butler is currently rated the 61st best player in the 2004 class in the Rivals150.
