Bunn Takes Different Route This Summer

Kirk Bunn, New York Bishop Loughlin's versatile 6'5'', 205 pound wing, is a talent who could slip through the cracks, having taken on an unconventional summer schedule.
Bunn did not attend any of the prominent AAU events in the month of July. He attended the Hoop Zone Clinic in New Jersey after being omitted from the sneaker camps, and opted not to compete in the Three Stripes Tournament, Peach Jam, or Las Vegas Big Time Tournament. Bunn spent a good deal of time with family in Mobile, Alabama, instead, and stressed that he has been working very hard on fundamentals and honing his game.

"I've been running, working on my jumpshot, and working out," said Bunn.
Bunn handles well for his size, and is quick to the hole. He is an able slasher after retaining the guard skills he had as a sub-six foot guard only a couple of years ago.
Bunn has heard from "many Big East schools", but has not put a lot of serious thought into his college destination at this point. This May, he told us that Providence, Syracuse, UConn, and Seton Hall were at the top of his list.
Kirk, who originally played at Archbishop Molloy High School in Queens, told Rivals Hoops that he would like to try and take visits before the summer is out.
We'll keep you abreast of Bunn's recruitment as it continues to evolve.
