Buffs score California combo guard

Tad Boyle and the Colorado Buffaloes are now on the board with their first Pac-12 recruit. Friday afternoon, senior Askia Booker offered up a verbal commitment after visiting Boulder officially last weekend.
A six foot tall combo guard at Los Angeles (Calif.) Price, Booker is a threat from deep and a well-known gym rat.

Having coached Booker and hosted him at his Fullcourt Press and Pangos events over the past few years, Dinos Trigonis thinks the Buffs are getting a guy on the rise.
"He has all of the skills and athleticism, he just needs to get stronger," Trigonis told Rivals.com. "He is a scoring combo guard who would have had five to ten more offers had he waited until the spring."
A three-star prospect, Booker had received offers from programs like UC-Irvine, Cal State-Northridge, Montana State, Colgate, Montana and Northern Colorado. More recently, UCLA had picked up interest and asked Booker to wait until the spring to make a decision.
