Buffalo lands 3-star Bearden

THE LIST: Class of 2014 Rivals150
Late Tuesday night, word came down that three-star point guard Lamonte Bearden had made his choice.

After a weekend visit to Buffalo, the jet quick floor general from Germantown (Wisc.) High in the Milwaukee suburbs pledged to Bobby Hurley and his staff.
So, a three-star point guard picked a Mid American Conference program, what's the big deal? The big deal is that while Bearden is a three-star, he just missed the Rivals150 and could be a major impact player for the Bulls.
Bearden isn't just fast, he is elusive and wired to make plays. If his team needs him running the show and finding scorers he does that. If they need him to score then he can do that too.
The upside with Bearden is tremendous and Hurley would seem to be the perfect coach to unlock his full potential. One of the college game's greatest point guards and an NBA player, Hurley has the perspective to fine-tune Bearden's game and smooth out the rough edges.
Bearden will be watched closely throughout his senior year and has a great chance to end up in the final Rivals150 for 2014. He also has a chance to be an all-conference type player for Hurley and high major programs looking for point guards have to be feeling the sting today.
